I DON´T WANNA BE A CLUB KID ANYMORE

Today, Thursday 17th of January the third edition of AntiFashion will launch in Barcelona's Hartmann gallery curated by La Santa, where several creative people rebel against stipulated canons set by the fashion industry, revealing different beauty perspectives.

Photographer César Segarra (Barcelona, 1986) will present visual artist Marie Karlberg's portrait in New York City streets.

I DON´T WANNA BE A CLUB KID ANYMORE

"First time I saw Marie was for New Year's Eve 2008 at Paris’ Hotel Costes entrance. I was waiting for some friends to arrive so we could all go join the party that was happening in the legendary hotel. Meanwhile, a cab stopped and three extravagant souls stepped out wearing platforms and bison coats, and one of them was Marie Karlberg.

Once inside I realized that we had been invited to the same room. Glasses of white wine, lots of people everywhere and among them was: Igor Dewe dancing on the bed, and two other girls sharing a chair looking towards the window which revealed the illuminated city. Later on, our party host began vomiting so we stopped celebrating, and we tried to leave with our drinks but we got caught.

Then four years later, in 2012, I found her in Webster Hall NYC, a 70s club which is out of fashion and visited by people from the suburbs on the weekends.

Now, she's currently working as a filmmaker from her apartment in Williamsburg."
